Writer
It wasn’t my plan to be a writer. Somehow I fell into a short-term devotional writing gig in 2021 for a widely read Instagram account. Friends urged me to keep writing. On a whim I joined an online writing critique group. Their gracious feedback encouraged me to set forth on my dream of writing Biblical fiction. I’m also working on a non-fiction book proposal.

Bible Nerd
God led me to enroll in seminary when I was fifty. Somehow He miraculously carried me through three years of Hebrew and a degree in Old Testament Biblical Studies. Now I’m a Bible Nerd. The Bible is cool!
I often ask too many questions. These characteristics fuel my Biblical Fiction stories.
Life
I was raised as a Midwest farmer’s daughter, graduated from a state university with a BS degree in apparel design, moved to a big city, and married a software engineer.
We I live on 2 1/2 acres in a Pacific Northwest suburb (Costco is two miles away) where we garden, tend chickens, and occasionally watch the local herd of elk graze through the neighborhood.
We renovated a 2017 Ford Transit van into a camper van. Roadtrip!
I worked in a quilt shop for many years. Some of my quilting patterns were published in major quilting magazines.
Reading and napping in a hammock is my happy place.
